Long and Unending wait for Justice for the Disappeared in Panjab

The continuing struggle for justice for the disappeared in Panjab has met with roadblocks and an attitude that those who suffered at the hands of police and security agencies do not deserve recourse to justice.

The attitude of "expendable minorities" and brazen contempt for rights of minorities has become a norm.

Smoldering Embers is an attempt to search for answers and to be courageous to speak out –to get to the truth and expose it. Smoldering Embers incorporates more than nine hundred cases of the disappeared from districts other than Amritsar. The enormity of the truth can be assessed from the voluminously large numbers of the "disappeared" that the data reveals. Smoldering Embers is a Voices for Freedom report, published by
Booksurge and available on amazon.com. It can also be read online.
