Voices For Freedom works towards increasing awareness and educating the international community about human rights abuses around the globe and encourage citizens to collectively take action in assisting the victims of human rights abuses and preventing future violations of human rights. To engage in dialogue with governments on human rights issues with a view to enhance national capacities in the field of human rights and work towards an improved respect for human rights. Voices For Freedom works constantly against torture, disappearances and impunity of police and administration to secure justice for the victims. It is the voice of the marginalized.
The Punjab office looks into human rights investigations and reporting of individual and collective cases of gross and flagrant abuse of human and humanitarian rights in South Asia. Documentation and data collection to expose human rights violations and bringing perpetrators to justice is a primal project.
VFF has launched a systematic campaign against death penalty in India, in particular the case of Devinder Pal Singh Bhullar, who after deportation from Germany has been sentenced to die, despite a split Supreme Court judgment and unequal trial at the sessions court level.
